Sloterplas, Amsterdam

Photographic Observation

For a new project here at the HKU where I’m on exchange for the next semester.  We were told to go out and make a collection of interesting things from our particular site – namely the Sloterplas in Amsterdam.

So yesterday I spent the entire day in this park, taking photos, writing notes, drawing sketches etc.  I’m quite happy with some of the photos so I thought I’d share some…I did take about 400!  They all turned out a bit sinister…

Taken a few months ago in a Aussie town called Bellingen.  I stayed with a friend and her family for a few days, and we for the most we just chilled out.  We went for a little trip to this river/creek that is the place to be in Summer…but when we got there it was just a bit too cold!  Beautiful colours though, it’d just been raining, so all the wood was lovely and dark and the greens looked greener – and that beautiful fresh soil smell. Anyway, I just really love the colours, so thought I’d share.
